With 23 miles of unspoiled, uncrowded beaches, Pismo Beach is a lovely place to unwind, with horseback riding and long walks along the beach and dozens of coves and tidepools to explore. If you prefer a more active vacation, spend your days fishing, surfing, golfing, kayaking and kite surfing. Pismo Beach is especially rich with wildlife. From late October to February, thousands of gorgeous Monarch butterflies migrate to a grove on the southern border of Pismo Beach, where they spend the winter clustered around eucalyptus trees.
